Okay, so I have another question. Recently, someone told me that a male dog will always take over a higher rank than even an established female in the house. I wonder if that is true. My female is 4 and my male is going to be 2 in March. I've noticed he is starting to assert himself more in the house with my female. I personally would like the female to stay at the higher rank than my male, but not sue she will.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Should I take a more active role in stopping the scuffles? Nothing serious has happened, I've just noticed he is testing her more often and with more authority and has on one occassion pinned her into a corner (which I broke up).
