Hello. I wanted to see if anybody knows when the next CGC and/or TDI certifications will be done closest to Kalamazoo. I realize CGC is AKC and TDI is it's own organization. I am currently using Winnie on a regular basis as a therapy dog, and as she grows older, she's been calm enough to stay in the room for a full session with me. My most recent case just involved a girl with a horrible history of sexual assault who had begun acting out after it happened. Trouble with the law ensued, and at the last visit she'd been driven from the juvenile home by her dad (whom she loves and trusts) to see me. She started to have a bit of a meltdown when the visit came to a close, b/c that meant she had to go back. So I went to get Winnie, and my patient was in an amazingly different place when she left my office. She was actually teaching her father how to do therapeutic touch on dogs. It was the best!!! Winnie loved every part of it. So it's high time she was licensed for what she's doing.
