Is there any tried and true way to "train" a dog to NOT submissive pee? My daughter-in-law is having some issues with her Scorpio daughter, Raven. It is mostly when you go to take hold of her collar to put her in the crate or get her off the couch.
I suggested that she start taking hold of her collar and give her a treat and praise and just let her go so that taking hold of the collar means you get a treat. I also said to randomly take hold of her collar without a treat and praise her and let her go. Touching her collar shouldn't always mean your getting put in the crate.
Is there anything else she should do such as have her checked for a urinary tract infection? I'm not sure if this has been ongoing since they got her earlier this year or if it is just starting.
