Paul just got back from a 5 day elk hunting trip to Colorado with 2 of my brothers and another friend. The friend shot an elk cow the second day of the hunt. Paul was fortunate and shot a 6 x 4 bull elk on the third day. Part of one beam was broken off or it would have been a 6 x 6. Unfortunately my brothers didn't get a shot at any....
Yes folks....that's an orange cowboy hat. (His luck orange hat he would add!) Only Paul could find one of those!!!
They estimated the bull to have a hanging weight of about 800 pounds. I just know I've got a freezer FULL of elk meat.
