As anyone who has been to Cher Car Kennels this time of year, you are familiar with the aroma of mint. Many of you may not know that St. Johns celebrates the harvesting of mint with an "Annual Mint Festival".
A Queen, Jr. Miss Mint, and a Little Miss Mint are chosen each year to represent Clinton County state wide. None other than our own CCDSA member, Sabrina Hebeler (and my niece) was chosen as the Mint Queen for 2008! We are so proud of her and all of her accomplishments. In addition to a parade this coming week-end she will be moving to Central Michigan University to begin college life in pursuit of a degree in physical therapy. Yes, she's bummed because she is going to miss the DSO. There is always next year!
