Just wondering what the general attitude toward dogs is in Hungary. Do they consider them as animals only meant to serve humans, or are they meant to be more like companions? I know it may seem like the latter is the obvious answer, but maybe they train them well, took them with them, etc is because of protection or doing other jobs. The reason I ask is because here in the US there are such varying views about what the purpose of the dog should be, which would explain why we don't uniformly train our dogs. Boy, we'd have to clone Cheryl, et al if the US were to take that job on
