I was very happy to be able to talk with her, however briefly... I knew that she was in rough shape, but no one told me that she was near death, and I don't believe that her family thought that was the case. At any rate, I will post funeral arrangements for people to send cards/etc when I hear of them.
Remember that life is much shorter than you want it to be.....
