If you have a strange lump in your breast or arm pit area, especially one which is asymetric, hard, and non-moveable, you should immediately ask your doctor about testing. I have a male patient who was diagnosed with breast cancer, Stage 3 and required surgery, chemo, and radiation therapy. He's doing fine now, but it's a good thing he got help early. So there you go. I hope this helps some people get a mammogram who normally wouldn't. Dr. Walden

I'm not sure if this program is available in the Lansing area, but here in the Kalamazoo area, we have what's called "Pink Saturdays" every weekend in October. Designated hopitals are giving FREE mammograms to those who either have no insurance or are under-insured who would otherwise not have a mammogram done. So go online to WWMT.com to see what you would have to do to qualify for this incredible gift if you can't afford one but haven't had yours yet. 72
