Posted by Cheryl Carlson I'm showing Jill Wenzels' fabulous Giant Schnauzer at Ring II Sept 1 in Michigan. Anybody know anything about the judge? Information greatly appreciated. I've decided to "do" French Ring with my homebred Malinois, "Lork" when he is mature. He is a great prospect, and does his namesake proud. He is named after my dear friend, Jean Michel Moreau's most famous dog "Lork". Jean Michel's Lork was a German Shepherd, so it's a bit of a change to have the name given to a Malinois....

Hi Bob, and congratulations to John and Frank! I see you did very well with your A'stitch dog, too, Bob!
Jean Michel won the cup of France AND the championship in Campagne the same year with that dog.. a feat that has only been done once before, and never since, to my knowledge. My Malinois, a son of our homebred "Ramsey", and my b###h "River" is a calm, confident highly driven youngster, with a deep full bite, which brings me to remember his Granddaddy, "Olaf". I am going to wait to do ring until he is mature, probably at two to three. I believe that my French Ring III GSD, Sebastian, made it through the ring program without much injury because I didn't put him on legs until he was an adult. So, I'm hoping that doing the same with my Lork will have the same result. After things slow down, I'll get some photos posted of Lork working with our decoys....
