Actually, it could be considered a good exersise for a personal protection dog, because we train dogs to protect us from bad guys with objects, some dogs could misconstrue a silly game at a birthday party with a serious attack... thus ending the party with a bang!! 
I believe that the test would be for the handler.. to convince the dog by his/her actions that it WAS NOT AN ATTACK, no matter what the dog may think....
