HI there! Ask to see his dogs' score book. First, look at the book itself. If it's orange, with the words "carnet de travail", that means that he got the scorebook with the dog as a French import. NARA scorebooks are NOT orange. Then, on the inside first page, there is info as to the chain of ownership. The first owner is listed as Proprietare, then 2nd, and so on. The first owners name will be signed at the bottom of that page. Then look at the dates, places that the dog titled. If an American trained and titled the dog, the "lieu du concours" will all be in the states, or canada. Who is it that has the dog?
