
Posted by Cheryl Carlson The recall can be broken down into at least three parts.. the stay, the actual moving toward you, and then the part where she comes up to let you put the lead on. Do not put all three together at this stage... do back up recalls on lead, have her sit, and then treat. Call her from a sit, on leash, and have her sit in front, and treat. Then stagger one of these with three of them.. meaning that you will back up and call, have her sit, then immediately back up, have her come, and sit, then again. Make sure your posture is that of being on the field.. straight backed. Don't bend over, or call her with your body when you have a leash on her.
