Cheryl Carlson has been training dogs professionally since 1977. She owns and operates Cher Car Kennels, located south of St. Johns, MI. She teaches classes in obedience, protection, tracking, agility and any type of problem solving. Cheryl raises U.K.C. registered German Shepherds, Jack Russells, and Belgian Malinois. She is certified as an E.M.S. instructor in the field of Environmental Emergencies, and has been certified as an expert witness in the state of Michigan in regards to training of police dogs, dog attacks, and dog behavior. Cheryl is a paid consultant for many public businesses in how to avoid dog attacks. She is a certified Campagne decoy (a French sport consisting of bitework, agility, obedience and tracking) and was a certified judge and decoy of the now defunct National Association Of Protection Dogs (N.A.P.D.) She is also a certifed UKC Protection Sports judge. She has titled dogs in conformation, agility, obedience, Schutzhund, French Ring and Campagne. In addition she has trained 51 police K-9's.
