I use my Chauvet DMX-4 dinner relay pack for a halloween show i do in my yard every year. And it works great 90% of the time. I connect the dmx cable from my computer and it runs out to a talking skull. Then i plug the next dmx cable in the skull and out to the DMX-4 pack. Then i cable together (daisy chain) the other 3 packs i have. Each Pack has 8 electical outlets that i plug power cords into and run out to "creatures" that move when the power comes on. I set up the channels to turn on or off the power, thus when the computer sends a signal that i want channel 2 power on, power comes on, the creature moves...until the computer says power off. The power is then shut off in that channel on the DMX pack. This works for 90% of my creatures. Here is the problem. When i set up low voltage led lights on my "tombstones" they stay on all the time even with that channel on the pack is OFF.??? Also i have a snow machine. When i plug it into the DMX pack, it doesnt work, as if there is some low voltage still seeping through to the snow machine, confusing it. The fact that my tombstones light stay on when the channel is set to off, tells me voltage is still creeping through from the DMX pack to the extention cord, that the lights are plugged into. Is there some setting i am missing here??? Is there a way to tell the DMX-4 Pack when i want a channel off, i want it 100% off, no power at all getting through?
Thank you so much for the help.
