Dear Friends, I need to write a program to control a set of 8 banks of 4 racks, every rack in the banks with a DP-5 DMX INTERFACE and 12 DX-1220 (P-27A) Modules, also DR-81 DMX SPLITTER PANEL (PHOTO ISOLATED) between racks from LitePuter
My goal is to write the program in National Instruments LabView for Windows, run the program in a standard PC using a DP-102 serial to DMX converter.
I got a copy of USITT DMX512-A is that the standard protocol the equipment understand?
I have some other questions about LitePuter Equipment:
1.- Do they use an alternate topology as described in Annex A of the standard? if yes, please describe or send me information
2.- Do they use Enhanced DMX512, as described in Annex B? If yes, please send me information
3.- Do they use Higher Protection Levels as described in Annex C? If yes, please send me information
4.- Do they use Alternate START code specifications as described in Annex D? if yes, please send me information
5.- Do they use Reserved Alternate START Codes as described in Annex E? If yes which is the Manufacturer ID and manufacturer sub-code and what means each sub-code if there are many sub-codes, please send me information.
6.- How can I assign the adresses to each dimmer module or there is an automated method for the equipment generates the adressing?
7.- Can the daisy chain be implemented with UTP Cable (Ethernet cable) and work properly?
