Actually I have seen on Pangolin Systems website DMX dimmer pack/dimmer will have a dip switch setting or a rotary switch setting for their address(first channel no.). And the other channel nos. will be sequential and the end channel no. is based on the no. of channels assigned/required for the dimmer pack/dimmer. reference: http://www.pangolin.com/LD2000/dmx-about.htm
