I was told by the Enttec guys that the DMX512 spec requires the DMX512 message to be at least 25 bytes long (start code followed by values for channel 1 thru 24).
Does anybody know the reasoning for this? My application really only needs 4 channels, and everything works using a DMX512 message that is only 5 bytes long, but I want to make sure there isn't something sneaky witht the spec of 25 bytes long minimum. Thank!
