That means only the +Data line will be connected, and I'll have to supply the +15v to the console somehow. Also, I'm assuming since the console says it's a DMX console, that it follows the DMX spec. Otherwise all bets are off. Does anyone out there even have any of this older Nova equipment?

I have an old 80's Nova MIDI 616 Memory Lighting Controller. This is a 16ch console(64 soft ch) with MIDI connectors and DMX XLR connectors on the rear panel. I want to interface this to a Chauvet DMX-4 dimmer. Has anyone done this?
1 - Ground
2 - +15 VDC to Controller
3 - Multiplex Data
1 - Common
2 - -Data
3 - +Data
