Hi, i have just got my first bit of dmx equipment and am struggling. I am useing a strobe, which has 1 channel for shutter speed and 1 channel for dimming. I am trying to run this off a usb-dmx device. The connectors are 3 pin xlr on both devices. I am useing mic cable for this, just to try and get a wink out of it. I have turned all the settings up on my laptop, im useing freestyler, and nothing. What do i have to do with the dip switches and should i have to terminate it if i am only useing one fixture?
