the problem could be in the dimmer pack itself. A loading problem inside the dimmerpack and/or unstable line voltage from a bad outlet or circuit braker could cause the gate circuit of the Triac inside the solid state relay associated with the channel to fluctuate. I remember a long time ago Sunn had this issue with its dimmer packs and there was a mod kit that was used to stablize the flicker. I recommend substituting a known good dimmer pack on a different power source before condemming your controller.
