(pin 2 from the controller is - and pin 3 is + from the controller, and pin 2 on the laser is + and pin 3 on the laser is -) I'm completely stuck now and just can't get any sort of result, i've read Practcal DMX by Nick Mobsby and think i've set it up right, but the digital address display on the laser flickers when it's all plugged in) Any suggestions would be very welcome, Thanks.

I've purchased a DMX laser (uses 7 cahannels of DMX) and a Behringer LC2412 controller, but have no luck getting any sort of result. I've connected them up as follows:
