I would put the big block in the back because of the amount of power the BBC crank can take going thru it. If you put the small block in back I would be scared to death of twisting off the crank snout. All of my setups have had the BBC in the rear. I did at one time run 2 small blocks crank to crank and I don't remeber any problems with that setup. But with the power now days I don't know if that would work today.
