Yes it will work ! I ran 2 small blocks for years coupled together and then I stuck a big block behind the 2 small blocks and ran that for several years. The big thing I would do is to select camshafts for both that are in the same power range otherwise you have one motor making more or less horsepower than the other at the same rpm.
