Hi Wayne,
Thanks for the information its very interesting information. I have one more question that comes to mind. With two identicle engines coupled together can you expect twice the horsepower and torque or is there some loses caused by the system? Are you running on fuel or gas and how much H/P do you generate?
Fred
: Yes Back in those days I used A double
: sprocket with a chain around them. I think
: back in those days I did twist off a snout.
: But now days they are running 2 bbc
: supercharged engines crank to crank with no
: major problems. I think cranks are better
: now days if you buy a good one.

: Thank you for your response.
:
: One more question, with the two engines
: mounted tandem or inline, did you experance
: crankshaft failures to the timing end (front
: end)of the rear engine? Which was caused by
: the coupling weight or engine torque or some
: other issue?
:
: Also what type of coupling did you use
: (chain around sprockets)?
:
: Thanks for the information.

: When I used to run in line engines, I tried
: both at tdc and I tried 90 degrees out and I
: tried 180
: degrees out and I could not tell any horse
: power differance. I think there was some
: differance in the starting the motors. I
: don't remember which was better or worse

: When you connect the two engines together,
: is
: there a timing order you hold to? For
: example, do you time both number one
: cylenders to fire at the same time or is
: there another timing order?
