I'm looking to put dual engines into a street rod I'm building and I'm looking for info on the best way to do this, so naturally I'm searching thru the tractor pulling sites. What's the best way to couple a pair of engines in-line, how close to the engines powerbands have to match, anybody have some advice to share? Thanks - matt
: Thank you Wayne for responding to my question.
: The most we are allowed to run on our
: maritime circuit are 2 alcohol injected big
: blocks, a single blown engine, and as of
: this year 3 small blocks 400ci max.
: Hopefully this combination will make me a
: little more competitive this season.
: thanks again brad

: Yes it will work ! I ran 2 small blocks for
: years coupled together and then I stuck a
: big block behind the 2 small blocks and ran
: that for several years. The big thing I
: would do is to select camshafts for both
: that are in the same power range otherwise
: you have one motor making more or less
: horsepower than the other at the same rpm.

: My name is Brad Fox and I live in Prince
: Edward Island, Canada. I have a single
: engine modified tractor right now that is
: setup for two chevy big blocks. I have a
: mild built 454 and was considering trying to
: add a 350 to it. I seen on your history page
: that you ran two smallblocks and a big
: block. Can you connect the small block and
: big block crank to crank? Can anyone help me
: out with this combination .
: thanks brad
