I looked into RANDOM function/procedures fer programming and they aren't random.
A computer can't do random. Most rand.inc proc's use a seed value which is a constant,
and use time from 0x0040:006C in CPU memory or PORT time,
all of which is a predictable non random,
then they do a division, er shift, giving the appearance of a
random generated number. (which is saved as the new seed also.)
Some RAND functions use look up tables, again a non random seed source.
That wuz muh best guess anyway.
It would be something to program the slot machine to hurt ya now and then, like give ya a vixen kick
with the thump, the push, the vocals, the works.
Kinda like a heroin dispencer that just hurts ya is all.
Programmers add the two digits, a '1' & '0' on the
front of a sound number 0-499, and map makers
add 10,000 to the sound number. Jon must have been programming lately.
with each chicken bow strike, with the appearance of random.
It's one of my favorite tiles.
I got me one in the bar of Hells Canyon.
