My main accomplishment today was getting the fallen limbs refuse to the curb. The heavy part of the bigger limb was cut up and clean like firewood but the outer branch part still needed to be broken down. Some of it could be snapped off and some clipped off but some were too thick for either and even with gloves, my hands were freezing.
I did have some good news today..the tree trimmer confirmed they'll be here tomorrow!! I've only been waiting since the beginning of Sept. It's an expensive proposition that I want to put behind me.
I also got a very nice surprise from my older daughter. She bought 3 half trays on a Monday nite special from an Italian restaurant that she likes..(and she is a gourmet cook) Chicken Francaise, Veal Parmigiana with spinach and another entree I haven't ID'd yet with shrimp. She made them into 3 assorted trays..one for her own household, one for her Covid stricken kids and one for me. My grandson is worried about and wanted to see his granny, so he drove mine over. What I sampled was delicious and there's enough to probably last me the whole week! Sure beats the frozen dinners I've been eating since my sweetie went South.
I seldom ask my kids to do anything for me but I have to say that they and their families have sure stepped up to the plate when I needed them.
