We hired a woman from a local agency, Karen, to come in two days a week for 4 hours to help Jane with the housework. Karen does the lighter jobs Donna doesn't do. Between the two of them the house stays clean and "picked up." Jane has some time for herself now. And I have some companionship I wouldn't have otherwise. Only Linda is left here and she's in worse condition than I am. We talk on the phone once in awhile but have little in common. Kiki never came back from her summer at the beach in Flagler. She probably found affordable property there. Cathy was diagnosed with breast cancer and moved back up north to be with her family. So I'm finding myself alone again as far as friends go. I can't get out in a wheelchair. Things sure changed in the few years I've been living here.
Most of my days are spent in the recliner watching CNN or some True Detective shows. Or I'm online like today. Some days I'm online and watching TV at the same time. Some days I go out with them, usually to the stores in town. They went to Walmart today but I didn't feel like going. It's getting harder to get into the car now so unless I really want to go somewhere I stay home.
