Re: Relationships Under Stress - Carol
Everybody's got their own shtick. The one thing in common is their love for Stacey, who is a lively, outgoing, happy person, always a helping hand to all and with a great loyalty to her friends. Every one of them has cried when they talked to me. But they can drive you crazy. They're all in their mid-50s now, and have lived enough of life to have developed definite opinions, but I have lived more of life, and learned more, and know more, as I believe all of you on the stoop do. Being Stacey's friends, they all have loyalty and caring and outspokenness, and they've known me for 40 plus years, so they speak what's in their heart. But they are not as familiar with the vagaries of the virus as we, of necessity, are. Shelina surprised me with her absolute stupidity. And of course, my niece is the one who will be totally bereft if something happens to Stacey. My sister is acting in an unforgivable way. But she has rarely been supportive, she has a mean streak a mile wide. Mike has progressed to a worrisome state, and my nerves are shot. He is needing more and more care and we are all physically exhausted.
