When it comes to our founding fathers, who lived in a period where slave ownership and/or indentured servants (white) were a common acceptable practice both here and abroad, if their contributions to the country earned acknowledgement, it's history. Now even Lincoln and Grant who were instrumental in ending slavery are subject to trashing. Moving forward, even those who had no known overt action but perceived to have racist thoughts like Teddy Roosevelt or Robert Moses are becoming targeted and I'll bet it won't stop moving up the line. What I'm seeing driving the momentum appears to be more young whites than blacks. Checking..just now..the newest statue is Andrew Jackson and an attempt to set up a zone in Washington DC as the one in Seattle. The more this is allowed to continue, the more emboldened it will become.
