From Capitol One:
Dear Carol,
We have received the documents that you sent in for review. Unfortunately, we cannot accept the Trust documents because there were no accounts listed in the name of the Trust. The state of Florida requires a Court document to close individual accounts. The letter of instruction that was sent in our previous email is not required to be completed on our form. You may write your own letter and use our form as a guideline. Here’s what’s needed to settle the account(s):
Copy of Letters Testamentary or Letters of Administration dated within 2 years
Or Court document naming heirs
A signed Letter of Instruction with a mailing address for any checks
Please return your documents to bankestateoperations@capitalone.com with your case number in the subject line.
When returning documents, make sure the attached Estate Operations Coversheet is in front of all other documents. The coversheet has a barcode that’s unique to your case; this will help ensure all your documents are attached to your case.
Thanks,
Capital One®
