It was in a hospital visiting room and of course it bothered me. There will always be people who feel strongly about the issue and others, like myself, who don't like it but recognize necessity and the rights of others who don't feel the same. Prior to the issuance of the bill regarding third trimester abortions, it was between a doctor and his patient to determine what was a necessity, no law was necessary. By making third term abortion a legality on the books, even though appearing to limit it to the health of the mother or the viability of the baby, it opens a Pandora's box to possible abuse. A third term baby can survive on its own..if the mother's health is an issue, what about a cesarean section? If there is a problem with the child, chances are it would be detectable within the previously allowed time frame. What is happening is the blow back from things being pushed too far.
