Re: Illegal freebies - Carol
Obviously, I can't tell you if a regulation is in order or not without knowing what it entails. If a regulation has been in place for years and has been sufficient enough to control problems..unless some new situation develops that needs additional addressing, I'd have to assume the original regulation was working.eg.. A new person doesn't trust that the regulations are sufficient and decides to rewrite the regulation and wants periodic testing. Not necessarily a bad idea, but now another person needs to be added to do the testing and the clerical work of keeping track of the testing records. The new regulation doesn't change what the old regulation was doing or improve anything, it's just added another chore to adhere to it. It's my understanding that none of the environmental regulations dropped had been implemented yet, they were brand new and had just been signed by Obama a few days before he left office. It's altogether possible that the new administration might take another look at them and decide they were warranted after all and reinstate them.
