It's being handled very much the same way that the Navy and the City coordinate ship tours during Fleet Week (Memorial Day weekend). Da Elder Son was aboard the USS Iwo Jima during Fleet week a few years ago and his job was to coordinate both the public-access tours as well as the media access - he said it was a LOT of work because there are so many government agencies, City, State, and Federal, involved. I'm sure that most if not all of the major media outlets wil be broadcasting from either the ship itself or the adjoining dock over the next few days - I'm looking forward to seeing the ship, even if only on TV ... wish I could be there.
