I also had an Dodger autographed ball. One day my little leaguer son took it down to the park to practice with the guys. That was the last I ever saw of my ball.
He also took the ball from a Kiwanis League shut out thrown by my first boyfriend at the Parade Grounds. This boyfriend found me 30 years later and flew to California to see me. While reminiscing, he asked me if I still had the ball. When I said no, he was crushed.
What's a mother to do?
