I've been invited to Dijon for Christmas and new year. Could easyjet to Paris and get the bus, boring. Could drive down in the van, too expensive at @ £400 for the week away. Could ride down on the Cub. Riding the cub down in mid summer with longer days and hopefully better weather wouldn't be a problem. If the weather is grim and dark leading up to Christmas then it would be nice to be booked into somewhere for each night also I am on a tight budget and would like to save what money I have towards the festivities. Therefore I need to pick the brains of you Southerners on budget accomodation. Plan at the moment is Wigan to BEC hut ( http://www.bec-cave.org.uk/the-belfry-mainmenu-55.html ) £4/night near Bristol. Then on to Brighton to The St Christopher Hostel £10/night.This would be a nice route but a bit indirect. Any suggestions and I'll make up a list for future cubbers reference. Regards. Bob.
