Sounds about right, there will need to be a pressure pump for the injector to fire.

The answer has to be a feeder tank higher than the original with a tap so you can rechage the main tank as you go. Make it a solenoid valve and operate from the bars.

I think I'll opt for a carb version - I undersand them better although I did diagnose and fix a faulty CDI power coil on the nephews Aprillia on Sunday.
