Dave, if you're thinking of a second tank for an injected Innova there might be a snag. On top of the tank is a plastic cover, when switching on it sounds as if there's an electrical pump inside that buzzes for a second or so.
As reported before, my economy is always around 165 mpg which gives me a safe range of about 100 miles before the low fuel starts flashing. I've never run out but I can imagine the pain when touring and having to remove gear to fill up.
Incidently, some time ago I foolishly dropped it when stationary, on my injected model there's a device that cuts the engine off and it takes a little time before the engine can be started again.
