I like Bob's idea of using the frame. I can't quite remember what happens at the ends of the main spine, but might it be possible to weld a plate in each end and provide an inlet for fuel coming through the legshields? I suppose the problem would be finding an outlet point from the base of the spine which could be made to feed the carb. Scope for some our more inventive and capable members, I think.
