I am with TalkTalk, previously with Onetel until they merged. The service is not bad, though I get periods when everything slows down to a crawl; for example, this morning the Cub board took ages to load, then jumped up and down in a series of jerks every time I tried to scroll. But it settled down in five minutes and should be ok for the rest of the day.
The big problem I have with TalkTalk is understanding their tariffs. They change them every so often and it's virtually impossible to make out exactly what you're on. I spoke to their helpdesk - very pleasant but totally incapable of answering my questions - then sent an email to which they responded next day but with only some of the answers. Broadband speed is about 2mbs.
On the plus side, I get line rental, 24/7 phone calls to UK, Europe, USA and Australia for free, and an 8-minute call to South Africa last weeek cost 35p! Including the Broadband the whole lot costs about £22 a month, which I consider very reasonable.
There is a TalkTalk forum on the Internet, full of 'never again' messages, which is a bit off-putting. But I have never had any major problems myself, so will stick with them unless they really go downhill.
