I've had my i Mac for two years now and signed up with TalkTalk who if it's working offer a great deal complete with free phone calls, even to Australia. The downside being their broadband is pathetic. To be honest it's never worked all that well, iPlayer is impossible and even u tube keeps stopping.
It got really bad a year ago, endless calls to people in far away calls centres, full of promises yielded nothing. After writing several letters it was sorted out, sort of. The problem is back again, my phone has such bad static it's sometimes hard to hear callers. The only way broadband will work is to take the phone off the hook. The real problem is my phone line which is owned by BT who aren't going to fix it until I crawl back to them. Wind and or rain have a detrimental effect.
What's the answer? Can anyone please suggest a way forward apart from using BT.
