When I tried kickstarting my innova after coming off in the butterton ford, it seemed that the kickstart was going down easily with 'no compression'.
It turned out that it was 'between gears' because the gearlever got bent & jammed. Once it was straightened and back in proper Neutral it was fine.
Could be worth a check for you, try it in gear and Neutral...?
