I would think that the batterys fine !
Its a BRAND NEW GEL Battery on it...
Amongst other new parts .
I would drain the carb , maybe ?

Full choke & then kick start 1st.
Tell him NOT to lubricate the choke cable as the inner sheathing swells up & then causes the cable to stick !
