The Beaverton Grouse Dog Club will be conducting it's annual spring trial in conjunction with the Grand National Invitational and Puppy Classic this week. The Invitational will begin this Wed and the Puppy classic to start some time on Friday. This is a national event which only comes to Michigan every three years.
The Beaverton Club will start with the inaugural running of the Wayne Fruchey Shooting Dog Classic. All 16 courses will be used for all events this weekend. The WF Shooting dog Classic will begin at 10am Sharp Friday morning starting on course #15. Courses will be run in consecutive order and will begin Sat morning at 7:30am sharp wherever we leave off Friday night. We have a lot of dogs to run so be prepared to run late each night and please have your dogs ready to go when it is your time to run!
The Derby will begin about noon on Saturday on course #10. We will continue on Sunday starting at 7:30am where ever we leave off late Saturday night.
The Michigan Puppy Classic will start at 10am Sunday morning using the old Puppy course at the North East Corner of the Grounds.
Lunch will be served each day and Saturday night we will have the Beaverton clubs traditional Steak fry all are welcome to attend.

Just wanted to thank the Beaverton club and all there members who worked so hard all week hosting the invitational, the puppy classic as well as a 115 dogs for the weekend trial.We all know it was a difficult time for Tom and the entire Fruchey family this past week. I was honored to be there Saturday night for the steak dinner and announcements when the Entire Fruchey family was there as Tom spoke eloquently about his father.Great Job guys I know Wayne is proud.John Stolgitis
