CVGDA of WI spring course walk through

Posted by Brent on 4/7/2023, 2:10 pm

There were numerous branch breaking snow storms this past winter that we need to check on.

So we will be meeting at 9am on Saturday April 8th to do a grounds “walk through”.

Meet at 9am, about 1 mile south of Wilson Township Park, at the locked orange painted gate.

Expect a lot of snow and melting snow. (i.e. good boots) The club has some prune equipment, but it always good to have at least some hand tools along with you.

If you arrive late and don’t make it through the locked gate at 9am, then don’t worry……….. We will be leaving the Wilson Park Course for you to walk and clear. This course comes BEFORE the locked gate. Fresh ribbon will guide you to the start of it, which is about 100 yards south of Wilson Park Driveway. Just walk it, down and back, and remove any obstacles.

    Thanks

Despite no bells ringing, it was nice to be back in the woods. Quite peaceful actually.

We got a good amount of the courses walked, pruned, cleared off, shoveled, and ready for the upcoming trials. The persistent snow-pack is on its last gasp, so we should be good to go next week.

      Birds were seen and heard.

Thanks to Eric, Lindsey, Neil, Kyle, Rod, Chris, Jim, Alex, (Greg in spirit) for helping out. Thanks to Roger for prepping the equipment, and lining up the road gate keys, with the forester. A most Happy Easter to you all.

      Regards,

      Brent
