    The Passing of Tim Tufts

    Tim Tufts passed away quietly at his home yesterday surrounded by his family.

      Thank you Joe for this message. Tim loved his dogs: the breeding, the training, the trialing, the judging, and everything connected to field trialing.
      For decades, our lives revolved around the scheduling of field trials and futurities.
      He loved the friends he made through field trials, it was a huge part of his life.
      I know he is up there walking behind all those wonderful dogs of ours with a white 'round his neck and a blank gun in his holster.
      He will be missed for sure.

        I'm lost for words. I always found Tim to be a gentleman and considered him a friend indeed. The fraternity of field trials have lost a true contender. I'll miss being able to give him a call just to have a laugh. God Speed Tim..

          so sorry of Tim's passing prayers are with his family.He was a good man and great friend, We met late 80S at a field trial. lot fun times great memories.Back in 1994 brought my pop up camper to marionville.pa. 2 puppy classics Tim and Matt Mentz and I stayed in camper drinking laughing had 3 or 4 puppies running around in it little crazy but fun.Friday morning venango ran, Tim won it with Scherazade my ginger took second. Matt didnt have a pup but a derby he had called pony. we partied friday night us both placing Fri. Sat morning grand national puppy started end of the day it got switched . my grouse river ginger won and Tim and Scherazade took second. what a great weekend for us.Oh that derby matt placed went on 4 years later to win 99 grand national with 99 dogs.I miss my two friends rest in peace. fun great times we all are competitive and want to win but the winning is finding friends like these in our sport.
