The Black Ash Bird Dog club will have a 1 course planted Quail trial on Saturday, August 06, at State Game Lands 69, Guys Mills PA. The course is at our usual location, the 90 degree bend on Maple Hill road. We will start with Puppy at 7AM, followed by Open Derby, then Open Shooting Dog Qualifyer, and finally a regular Open Shooting dog. Quail will be planted on course for all except Puppy. Puppy will be about 20 minutes. Both SD & derby will be a half hour. There is some water on course, but not much. It has been very dry here. It's suggested that you bring a dog jug. Still formulating judges. So far we have Jeff Kellar on puppy, & John & Patricia McKellop judging derby.
