Reports from the grounds are indicating 12-20 inches of snow fell last night. Not a huge deal, as that should melt away soon. But there is strong forecast for more precipitation this week on Wednesday and Thursday. Combine that with an unprecedented LONG ENTRY LIST in all stakes, we were forced to make some decisions at an emergency meeting tonight.
We regretfully announce that the one-hour Amateur Shooting Dog Stake (Don Didcoct Memorial Classic) is cancelled.
We will be delaying the start of the one-hour Open Shooting Dog Stake until Friday April 21, and starting the Derby, on Saturday April 22.
Starting location on Friday and Saturday will be announced later this week.
Drawing will be as scheduled in the American Field Advertisement.
If you were only entered in the Amateur Shooting Dog, but now want to put your chips in the Open Shooting Dog instead, then please call Roger to solidify your intentions.
Sorry folks, the Amateur Didcoct Classic is a cherished stake for our club and our region. We hope to pick up where we left, next year.....
