We left at what we thought was 8 am, as we were there getting equipment ready since 7:15, sorry for that. We went up and started on number one, or the moosehorn course .But no worries, we did not get it all done, so will have another fun day in the woods of Kilkenny. I want to thank David and Deb for coming anyway, and Tony Bly, Deb and Jim Kennedy, Mike Gauthier, Steve Levesque and Jamie Lietch. It may have turned out to be the hottest day of the summer? And some of us had to go to work afterwards. We made a couple of course changes, and need to finish one of the championship courses and the beaver / derby. There is a timer sale going on on Deer Mountain, we don't know to what extent, so that may be out. So far we have Golden Rod cut cleaned and flagged, Moosehorn, and most of Ammonousac. New England Open Grouse is the only wild bird trial running in Kilkenny this fall, so not much pressure on the birds. New England Open will start Sept. 21, to be followed by the Bill Kearns Open Derby Classic.
