A lot depends on the quality of the product and especially on the gauge of the wire and the support structure.
There is a HUGE difference between 9 ga. wire and 11 ga. wire and a similarly HUGE difference between thinwall tubing and thickwall tubing, whether it be round tubing for chain link or square tube for welded wire.
I personally have used 9 ga. chain link and thickwall tubing for many years. I still have a couple of panels from the kennel I had made in 1980.
On a very few occasions, I have had to replace a bottom tiedown wire on a chain link panel where the dog had beaten or gnawed it into submission.
My BIL had Priefert welded wire kennels and they were also VERY well made and very nice. I suspect the Priefert product is a top of the line product.
